About Us | Cooper Industries

Ted Cooper/Cooper Industries is a licensed landscaping contractor serving commercial and residential properties throughout San Jose, Campbell, and the surrounding areas. With 55 years of landscaping industry experience and 40 years as a licensed contractor, we bring proven expertise to every property we maintain. Our California C-27 Landscaping Contractor License #521603 represents decades of professional knowledge across landscaping, irrigation systems, tree care, and ongoing property maintenance.

You work with a locally owned and operated team that currently maintains more than 450 commercial properties. This volume reflects our proven ability to manage large-scale, ongoing maintenance contracts while maintaining the attention to detail that residential clients expect. Whether you manage a commercial campus or own a single-family home, you benefit from the same systems and standards we've refined over four decades in business.

Our hands-on knowledge covers the full spectrum of property care. As a licensed arborist, we provide professional tree care expertise that goes beyond basic trimming—we understand tree health, structural integrity, and how proper care affects long-term landscape value. Our irrigation specialists design and install efficient irrigation systems that account for San Jose's seasonal water restrictions and variable rainfall patterns, ensuring your landscape receives precise hydration without waste.

When you work with us, you receive the same level of service whether you need a one-time irrigation installation or year-round property maintenance. We provide free estimates that detail exactly what work will be performed, the timeline, and the costs involved.

Our extensive experience with both commercial and residential landscaping means we understand how property types differ in maintenance requirements, aesthetic goals, and budget considerations. Commercial properties often require consistent appearance across multiple buildings, coordinated service schedules that avoid disrupting business operations, and rapid response when issues arise. Residential properties typically focus on seasonal enhancements, outdoor living space functionality, and personalized design elements that reflect how you use your yard.

This dual focus allows us to bring commercial-grade efficiency to residential projects and residential-level attention to detail to commercial contracts. You work with a team that manages contracts for 450+ properties while maintaining the capability to focus on individual landscape challenges. Our irrigation expertise serves both contexts—we design water-efficient systems for HOA common areas and backyard gardens alike, adjusting pressure zones, sprinkler types, and controller programming based on plant types and sun exposure.

Serving San Jose and Campbell means working with varied microclimates and soil conditions across the region. Our decades of local experience inform decisions about plant selection, irrigation scheduling, and seasonal care timing. We've maintained properties through drought years and wet winters, adapting maintenance practices to changing conditions while protecting long-term landscape health.

When you choose Ted Cooper/Cooper Industries, you work with professionals whose expertise extends across landscaping, tree care, irrigation, and ongoing maintenance. Our licensed arborist brings specialized knowledge to tree pruning, disease diagnosis, and structural assessments. Our irrigation specialists troubleshoot system inefficiencies, retrofit outdated controllers with smart technology, and design new installations that reduce water consumption while improving coverage. Our landscape maintenance teams understand how proper mowing height, fertilization timing, and seasonal pruning affect plant health and property appearance throughout the year.
